Literal Mckenna

The girls like going for rides on their Electric Dirt Bike. I was riding with Mckenna the other day and she kept looking down so I told her to "watch where she was going and look up". She took me quite literal and would look WAY up when giving it gas.  She is Cracks me up.

70 Degrees in March

Our winter was a really good one but I wouldn't mind another Pow Day or Two at the Bird.
However The weather has been amazing lately and I love being outside during these 70 degree days.
I'm glad I enjoy it as much as the girls.

Once it warms up the kids on our street come out in droves.

One day we went to Our Neighborhood Park and flew a Kit. It was fun.

Avery is a pretty good helper (for the first 20 minutes or so) when we go clean the church

Love these little ladies and them holding hands, but I'm sure this won't last forever but I'll definitely take it while I can!

Starting off 2017

I have a calling to clean the church.  Usually we do it for a month, every 3 months.
They recently changed it to 3 months in a row, then off for 6 months. Should be interesting since we clean the church twice a week so that means roughly 26 cleanings in a row. It will be nice to have 6 months off after that though.
The girls and Brit usually come and help when they can. Usually they are all great helpers.

Heading to the Dumpster.  Garbage Pale Kids

We recently took the girls bowling for the first time. There is a Bowling Alley here in Lehi we took them too. It was a good time and although none of us scored any record highs, we all had a good time.

Avery yelling "go ball go, go ball go"

Mckenna was determined to pick up and carry the ball herself. We only had one instance of a smashed finger.

Trujillo Reunion 2016

We had a reunion this year on the Trujillo side of my family. It was held at my Cousin Kathys house in Ferron, Utah.  Ferron is in central Utah about 40 mins south of Price. We dad and a bunch of the family grew up in that area. We don't see that side of my family a whole lot so it was good to get out and see them. The majority of the family in attendance were sons and daughters of my Aunt Naomi and Uncle George (dads brother) that have both passed away but used to live in East Carbon.
My dad is the last surviving Trujillo of my grandparents.
He had, I believe 11 siblings so it's pretty impressive/sad that he is the last one.
He is turning 70 this year too so that's awesome! He is in great health and I see him living a long time to come.
I wish I knew more about that side of my family. My grandparents died before I was born so unfortunately I didn't get the chance to get to know them.

The reunion was on Saturday so we left our house around 8:30. We drove through Spanish Fork Canyon, had a few pits stops and arrived right around noon.
They live in a great area with a lot of  land and Mtns surrounding their property. As a kid I remember climbing, hiking, exploring around their place and loving it. I enjoy doing activities with my kids now that I did once as a kid.
We had lunch, mingled, and caught up.  My cousin Kirk got out a huge slip n slide which was a big hit with the kids. We also hiked around a little, took some photos and went to a nearby reservoir to fish with my dad. It was a great time.

CATFISH

Been wanting to take the girls fishing for a while now and finally decided to just pull the trigger or it wouldn't happen. We got some supplies and walked to the Jordan River by our house. I wasn't expecting to catch anything as we were only planning on being there for 30 minutes or so to get back to the house for dinner.
A worm on the hook and 3 casts later we caught a catfish. It was big and ugly and the girls didn't want anything to do with it. I think it was about the weight max for Averys little fishing pole.
Here's to much more time spent outdoors.
