We had a reunion this year on the Trujillo side of my family. It was held at my Cousin Kathys house in Ferron, Utah. Ferron is in central Utah about 40 mins south of Price. We dad and a bunch of the family grew up in that area. We don't see that side of my family a whole lot so it was good to get out and see them. The majority of the family in attendance were sons and daughters of my Aunt Naomi and Uncle George (dads brother) that have both passed away but used to live in East Carbon.
My dad is the last surviving Trujillo of my grandparents.
He had, I believe 11 siblings so it's pretty impressive/sad that he is the last one.
He is turning 70 this year too so that's awesome! He is in great health and I see him living a long time to come.
I wish I knew more about that side of my family. My grandparents died before I was born so unfortunately I didn't get the chance to get to know them.
The reunion was on Saturday so we left our house around 8:30. We drove through Spanish Fork Canyon, had a few pits stops and arrived right around noon.
They live in a great area with a lot of land and Mtns surrounding their property. As a kid I remember climbing, hiking, exploring around their place and loving it. I enjoy doing activities with my kids now that I did once as a kid.
We had lunch, mingled, and caught up. My cousin Kirk got out a huge slip n slide which was a big hit with the kids. We also hiked around a little, took some photos and went to a nearby reservoir to fish with my dad. It was a great time.

Fantastic scenery! And there really is something about sharing childhood memories and joy with your kids right?
