Kind of like the Bat signal for Batman. We have found the trigger for Sierra to come into the bathroom. Just turn on the tub and watch her come crawling.
I volunteered again to be Averys Soccer Coach. It's been rough to say the least. They havent won any games and goals are hard to come by. I feel bad for them and wish they could at least 1 or 2 in the back of the net so they could have something to cheer for. They have been still trying hard and I hope they still are having a good time. Avery is such a competitive little Mrs that she has a hard time when the other team scores over and over again. I love her for that though.
Took the girls to the Hill AFB Air Show. A good friend live Really close so we got good seats for the show.
We threw Avery a Unicorn Party in June for her Birthday.
Mckenna did a great job in her "bynastics" class her first session.
For Labor day we hung around the house and got some chores done but last minute we decided to borrow our neighbors Kayak and take it up to Tibble Fork Reservoir.
Averys first day of 1st grade/All day school She has loved it so far.
Aves was brave and decided to finally take the plunge and get ears pierced.
We would ask her about every 6 months if she wanted to do it but She had always said she didn't want to because she was scared of the pain.
I asked her why she had decided to do it now and she simply said "because I wanted to get two suckers" (the mall store gives suckers to kids after they get their ears pierced)
She was so brave and didn't even cry, which is a bit rare for her, I think maybe because the employee was around.... If it was just Brit and I she probably would have cried.
Avery has been killing it lately on her bike. She has always been afraid to start on her own as well as riding for long durations of time. She has really taken off the last 2-3 days so we wanted to document it. Love seeing their progress with these simple but great activities.
Brit busy making dinner so I took the girls up AF canyon after this last snow storm. The sledding was good and they both had a good time. Until Avery face planted it into the snow :) they did have fun. Love living close to the mtns to enjoy with them.
About a month ago a started having some abdominal discomfort. It kept getting worse so we decided to go to a local Urgent Care (I don't love going to them because I feel like they don't ever diagnose you, they just give you a band aid, pat you on the back and send you on your way) but tryi g to keep costs down, we tried it over the ER. And that's exactly what happened. They didnt diagnose me with anything and home we went.
The father along in the day it got the more pain I was experiencing. I was in pain and could not get comfortable! Around 10 pm I was shivering uncontrollably and at that point I told Brit we needed to go to the ER.
We called some great friends in our ward to come watch the girls and off we went.
I was so miserable. We got checked in nd after a 5 minute conversation with the nurse, he k we it was appendicitis. Luckily the surgeon was already there performing another appendectomy so we got right in.
The procedure was pretty quick and it felt so good to not be in pain anymore. Post op Brit recorded me saying some pretty funny stuff coming out of anesthesia.
4 weeks later and I am as good as new.
The ER hospital bill should be fun.
We decided to go Camping up AF canyon with a buddy and his daughter a few weeks back. We found a good spot on a busy weekend so we were happy about that. It was pretty mellow and we ended up roasting dogs, smores, playing in the hammock and having a pretty good breakfast. Glad we went. I enjoy camping with my family.
Out of the blue one day Mckenna decided she didn't want to wear diapers anymore. she had a few accidents but overall she has been doing great. She will wake up, and go potty all by herself, which is awesome that we aren't having to do diapers anymore. Yay!
Avery started Kindergarten. She is a "later gator" and goes Mon-Fri 12:30-3:30. We are very excited for her.
Avery played soccer during the month of August. It was a very busy month with soccer 2-3 days a week along with everything else. It was fun to be her coach and watch her play.
Some trail riding with a few buddies up AF canyon. The scenery up there is spectacular.
Soccer Picture day.
For Brits b-day we went to Bookdocks. Here is mom and Avery on the Go Kart Track.
This summer was the hottest one on record. It's still in the 90's into Sept. I'm ready for cooler temps but the girls sure did enjoy their pool this summer. Kennas=Grumpy Gills in the background.
Nice yoga Aves.
More soccer
I took Avery up to Oregon/Washington to participate in a Motocross Race with my Bro and his family. It was a really good time. That area of the US is so green! She enjoyed her time with her cousins.
Kennas up at Albion Basin I think.
We went to Yellowstone with some friends from our Ward. It was awesome! It's so peaceful up there. So much natural beauty (like Brit) up there,. We had a wonderful time and I hope it's not too long before we go visit again.
